Eggs and His Trip

It was another regular day at Twinsville High School. Eggs, an average freshman student, sat down and began drawing in his textbook. The teacher, Mr. Trip, noticed Eggs and said, “Eggs, who is Gregor Mendel?” Eggs looked up at Mr. Trip. “I guess I'll go to the principal’s office now.” Eggs stood up and rushed out of the classroom.

He walked to the principal office but suddenly he thought, Heck, what am I doing? He turned his walk and went into the janitor room. He found a pile of used papers at the corner of the room. Fortunately he brought his pen with him, so he continued drawing. He drew a monster attacking a city, and then came up an Ultraman. When the bell rang in the middle of the day, he had done a comic book. “Gregor Mendel was here,” he wrote a mark on the wall before leaving the janitor room.

Well, Sam, this is Ultraman and the monster.

That's when he decided to make his boring life more interesting. He wanted to create a monster. But most of all, what he really wanted to create was a hero. A hero that could defeat that monster. Eggs rushed back home. He stayed up all night that night. He flipped through pages. He mixed chemicals. He laughed maniacally. After ten minutes into the night, Eggs’ eyes began to close. He fell down and knocked over two of his beakers. The breaker spilled into Eggs while he slept.

When he got up in the morning, he realized that the beaker spilled onto him. At first, he was worried that it might do something to him. He wander around his room frantically. He was afraid that the beaker would turn him into a monster, or even worse: Ultramonsterman! He heard his mom yell, and she reminded him that he must go to school. And so, he waited for the rest of the day. At school, he imagined that he suddenly got bigger and bigger and his skin turned green, and he would destroy the school that he hated so much since ever. But, at the end of the day, nothing happened. He went home sad.

That night, Eggs couldn't sleep. He kept turning and rolling around in his bed. He was tired of his normal life. That's when he decided to make a costume. Powers or not, he was going to become a hero. He stayed up all night thinking of a design. After coming up with a design though, he realized he knew nothing about making clothes. So that night, he also stayed up thinking of a way to ask his mom for help.

He was scared of his mom. His mom always snapped at him if he did not get good grades. He imagined saying to his mom, “Mom, since I want to be a surgeon, I need to learn sewing by now. So, once I get into the medical school, I am already an expert at sewing. I am going to sew human skin very well but for now I want to start by sewing superhero costume.” Would she tell him how? What if he made the costume from real human skin?

His mom agreed to teach him how to sew. Seconds, minutes, and hours. Days, weeks, and months. Time ran by and Eggs got better. By the end of the months, Eggs finally surpassed his mother. His mother said, “Remember Eggs, sewing is about connection”. His mother's words echoed in Eggs mind. He realized that he was given a power that no one else had. He could tie criminals up by sewing them to other things. He quickly sewed up a mask.

The mask was green and oval, like the form of his head. When he looked at the mirror wearing the mask, he thought, Oh my God, my head literally looked like a big, green egg, and my name is Eggs, so I will just call myself The Green Eggs. And that was how The Green Eggs was born. Now he had to find monsters to fight, but first of all he had to shower. He had been too absorbed sewing his mask and he stank so bad. I hope the monster won’t come up when I am showering. I like showering in the state of peace with lavender soap. I wish the lavender soap won’t turn into a monster. Damn, how do I get so paranoid? I am way too excited!

While showering, he realized his shower took longer than expected. As the water sprayed down his body, he came up with an idea. He took his shampoo bottle and body wash bottle and poured one into the other and shook it. He rinsed it through his hair. As it dripped down his body, he scrubbed. He turned off the water and exclaimed, “I have invented body poo!”

Nothing much happened afterward. His disappointment grew. He wander around the neighborhood smelling lavender and went through an existential crisis. What I am supposed to do? What I am supposed to be? He couldn’t be a superhero nor find a monster. He could only fight the monster through his imagination. He sat in a park bench and began to draw again. Leaves were falling. He hoped that the leaves would fall like raining cats and dogs and buried him.

Then an idea lit up in his mind. Dark clouds covered the sky. Eggs was going to create a chimera. He wanted to fuse a human with other creatures. This was his chance to take his sewing skills to the next level. He only thought about succeeding and not once worried about the consequences.

Strong wind swirled around the park. Rain fell out of the blue. A lightning bolt strokes on Eggs and everything became dark. He did not know whether he was still alive or not. All he saw after the darkness was a stray of light.

He heard a voice. It said, “You're going too far. And for that, I must take you away from this world and send you to where you belong.”

“Noooooooooooo!!!!” Eggs screamed and gasped and found his teacher standing in front of him.

“Eggs, who is Gregor Mendel?” ***

Note:
I made this story with a guy I met on Bottled. He came up with the idea of collaboration since we both love creative writing just for the sake of fun. He also took the first turn and gave the title. And he corrected my English.
Thanks, Dude.
(And he had no idea what was Ultraman.)
((And he's really creative and funny. And he has nice abs.))
(((And you can stalk him on his IG. It's private, though.)))
